Our cost of living continues to soar while our wages remain stagnant. Most of us struggle to balance paying rent, buying groceries, and paying the bills as we keep the gears of the university running through our teaching, grading, and research. As graduate workers, we know that without our labor UC Davis would cease to function. And yet while the UC regents and administration have seen their salaries balloon, too many of us have seen our living standards, mental, and physical health deteriorate as we work for one of the largest academic institutions in the world.
This situation is untenable.
